It may be too long....NOT ANY MORE


because I kept breaking spokes on my rear wheel due to a combination of too much cake and potholes I decided to change the stainless steel spokes for steel ones which have more flex.
so to my sportster WM rim I cleverly got some NOS parkerised 18" spokes..... then some original nipples with the small thread.
then.... of course the parkerised spokes were for the steel rims and are longer than those needed for my rim.

I had thought this may be the case - but thankfully also correctly presumed that Tosh would come up with a way through.
Grinding off the threaded end once laced is one of the problems solved... there was one other major hurdle - 10 points and a slice of cake for a correct answer.
