 saw this at a services on the M40...... plain clothes cop bike as far as I could tell from the gadgets under the fairing - at least it was bucketing down with rain all day on him too.

RED MARLEY FREAK HILL CLIMB 2012

I'll post more soon but in brief Milo, the widows top hill climber, went straight up the hill on his 2 practice runs... Then came off at the top on his first race but still got through the the next stage, came off again at the top but didn't get through - much to his relief. If you have even seen the red marley hill you would know he has bowling balls down his pants to do this on a rigid hand shift 45.....

INCY WINCY SPIDER CLIMBING

Milo is trying his hand at Red Marley this Monday.....

The hill is 440 yards (1/4 mile) and reaches almost 1:1.5 near the top where there is a challenging jump known as "the pimple". 

Riders compete 4 at a time from a standing start - the first two over the finish line progress to the next round.

Carl Pope currently holds the record with a time of 19.53 seconds achieved in 2009 aboard his Cheney BSA.

There are 3 classes plus the allcomers class. Machines are all pre 1970 and vary from rigid framed machines from the 1930's to competitive replica Triumphs and BSA based classic scramblers.

Admission Price

Entrance to the Hill Climb on Monday

is £7.00 for adults - Children under 10 Free.

Admission to the Trial on Sunday is Free.

Spectators may camp on site at Red Marley at a cost of £10 per unit for the weekend.

When I was a youth,

I lived in Nigeria for a couple of years.
It was the policy of the Nigerian police to farm out Rottweiler pups to Ex-pat families to feed up until they were old enough to train. We got "Ben" when I was 9.
We raised him up good, and he was a natural. If you ran off he would chase you, jump on your back and get you in a half Nelson.
Oh the fun me and Ben had.
One day the cops came and took Ben when he was big enough. Sad day but it got worse. About a year later the handler called and asked if we would like to come and see Ben now as he was grown up, trained and a credit to the police force.
We arrived and got shown to his pen.
I ran up to him, "Ben" I called...
And the fucker looked up growling "grrrrrr"
And he went for me.
Broke my heart.
The Cops get Rotts.,
