But I reckon the 70'S Executives who okayed The Captain must have been stoned as Hell.
I reckon the Writers and the Suits shared a Doobie of Fine Colombian. And it went like this;
"So he's a caveman huh? But he's also a Captain. He can swallow large object whole. And he has a magic Swiss-army Club that also gives him the power of flight. Cape? Check! Useful stuff stashed in his fur? Check! And he solves crimes with The Teen Angels."
